Nikolai Gogol

Russian novelist, playwright, poet, critic and essayis of Ukrainian ethnicity (b. March 31, 1809 in Sorochyntsi - d. March 4, 1852 in Moskow) recognized as one of the classics of Russian literature. Came from an old noble family Gogol-Yanovsky.
