Gallara
Gallara are an instrumental quintet (organ/ keyboards, guitar, bass, drums, and percussion) with a visionary and cinematic approach. They combine retro sixties sounds (e.g., garage and rock’n’roll) with Latin and exotic vibes, blending them into a consistent style strongly inspired by sixties and seventies soundtracks from both Anglo-American and especially Italian cinema. Gallara’s music is able to evoke in our minds a kaleidoscope of images that take us back to cult B movies, in genres ranging from erotic- spy (Esotika Erotika Psicotika) to poliziotteschi (Sull’asfalto di corsa), and from sexy comedy (Le dive nude) to erotic-exotic comedy (Charas Guiro). The result is at once unique and familiar, but also frenzied and psychedelic, and even includes delightful incursions into Cuban-influenced Latin jazz (S.A.V.O.77 all’Avana).
Erotika Psicotika is a mix of organ sounds, sensual voices and a bit of groove. The project wants to evoke the cult erotic movie “Esotika Erotika Psicotika” by Radley Metzger. The film was very successful in the artistic film industry, so much that Andy Warhol wrote “I must say I find most of Mr. Metzger’s movies entertaining to watch. They are so, well, ripe with incredible color and décor and movement.”
Track by track we jump into the exotic world of the golden age of porn.
