Laghonia

Laghonia was a pioneering Peruvian psychedelic rock band formed in Lima in 1965 by brothers Saúl and Manuel Cornejo as New Juggler Sound. Initially influenced by the British Invasion, they evolved after American-Peruvian guitarist David Levene joined in 1968, bringing a Hendrix-inspired edge. With the addition of Carlos Salom on Hammond organ, they became one of the first South American bands to use said instrument live. Renamed Laghonia , they released “Glue” (1971), a fuzz-driven psych classic blending British beat melodies, Latin percussion and organ grooves. Their follow-up, “Etcétera” (1971), showcased more progressive arrangements and ambitious production. After line-up changes, the members transitioned into We All Together.
