Hailing from Jackson Heights, Queens, Napes is a producer and composer known for crafting original, multi-genre sample compositions through his boutique music library imprint, Dat Honey.
Since shifting his focus to production, he’s built a reputation for soulful, sample-driven work that blends vintage textures, emotional progressions, and analog warmth. These compositions have led to placements with Westside Gunn, as well as artists closely affiliated with his Griselda collective — including Conway the Machine, Rome Streetz, Mach-Hommy, and Boldy James. His work has been sampled by respected producers such as Conductor Williams, !llmind, FrancisGotHeat, Elite, and Statik Selektah.
