Tripsichord Music Box was an American psychedelic rock band active in the 1960s, led by David Zandonatti. Managed by Matthew Katz, they recorded for Katz's San Francisco Sound label and were the first local group to use 8-track equipment. The band originated from The Ban, based in Lompoc, California, before becoming The Now and relocating to Los Angeles. After adopting the name Tripsichord, the band produced a full album and several singles. Zandonatti's conversion to the LDS Church influenced some of their music, although they never identified as a "Mormon band." After the band disbanded, Zandonatti formed other groups, including Free Spirit and Natty Bumppo.
