Young Colombian singer and songwriter Victoria Saavedra is synonymous with Latin American sounds. Her delicate and authentic first album, Remanso entre Raízes, released in June 2017, had as its starting point the universe of Latin American music, with rhythmic elements and nuances of African music and Brazilian music. Born in Neiva, an important city between mountain ranges and rivers in southwestern Colombia, Victoria has always had a close relationship with various regional sounds. After a season of training at The Jazz School in the United States, she was invited to join the groups Phonoclórica and Pambil, dedicated to the music of the Colombian Pacific and the leading role of the marimba de chonta. Based in São Paulo for 10 years, the singer has gained recognition in the local music scene for her versatility and charisma.
