public Collection
Dub music is far more than a genre. Production techniques pioneered by the likes of King Tubby, Lee Scratch Perry, and ET laid the foundation for remixing, sound effects like echo and reverb, and using studio mixing and engineering as an instrument.
All audio tracks in this collection come with exclusive multitracks aka stems. This way, you can get as creative as you want. Think of jungle lead vocals or the bass from A-Class Crew's "Dub School Dubwise." Even guitars, organs, synth chords, and mix strings are available to sample. Each stem download includes a variety of multitracks, or in other words: separate stems.
Get inspired by the greats: "Wolves" by Kanye West samples Sugar Minott's "Walking Dub." Or think of the dub-influenced dance/post-punk anthem "Cavern" by Liquid Liquid, sampled for hip-hop classic “White Lines (Don’t Do It)” by Grandmaster Melle Mel. Or hear how Metro Boomin sampled the dubby trip-hop classic "One Love" by Massive Attack for "6 Love" featuring Joey O'Keefe.
Discover our extensive feature on record label Wah Wah 45s titled Sample Decades Worth of Jazz, Funk, Dub & Afrobeat. The collection Reggae Riddims also includes separate stems and instrumental stems of iconic reggae music and undiscovered gems. In addition, the collection Jamaicapella focuses solely on acapella stems and lead vocals with songs by Jah Messenger, Poison Chang, and Bunny General. ‘Rhythm Twins’ Sly & Robbie are also dub and reggae innovators not to be missed—including dub stems for their music with Horace Andy.
