William Myddleton

English composer and arranger. (Born 1873 - Died 1950)

Well known to orchestras and bands earlier in the 20th century, he composed classical arrangements, potpourris of Welsh melodies, such as 'The Leek' (1920), English melodies like 'The Rose,' or American melodies 'By the Swanee River' and, the cake-walk piece, 'Down South.'

He composed several marches as Myddleton as well as under the surname Arnold Safroni-Middleton.
