"I was intentionally searching for a rare sample that was influenced by my Jamaican culture."

—Major Seven (producer of DJ Khaled's "Holy Mountain")

Billy Boyo recorded material at the legendary studios Channel One and King Tubby’s recording studio, sometimes even mixed by the (also legendary) engineer/producer Scientist. Decades later, his reggae/dancehall anthems like "One Spliff a Day" and "Wicked She Wicked" would be sampled by The Avalanches, DJ Khaled, TDE's D.K. the Punisher, Twit One, and dubstep icon Zomby, among others.
