Duo Barish Firatli and Californiaman happened to form in San Francisco but as sons of many nations it could have been just about anywhere. Surrounded by drum machines, synthesizers, a community of amazing musicians, artists and producers the duo maneuvers in pop music in warm vivid colors.

In the music you can hear their past. Retro slick influences such as Roxy Music and INXS are present but more like an invitation by BF/C and not, as strange as it may seem, the other way around.

If Barish Firatli’s voice was a pair of eyes it would be those of a master of seduction. And if Californiaman’s production and instrumentation were a body it would be that of the recently mentioned master. It is really in the form of BF/C they both are manifested in this third person perspective. As you’re pulled into their world of music you may ask yourself: Am I in this house and why is she looking at me like that?! A scenery, sharp and stimulated unfolds within keyboards and acoustic guitars around you, there’s a record player in the corner of the room under a dim light to guide you.
