Salvatore di Giacomo

Salvatore Di Giacomo (Napoli, 13 March 1860 - † Napoli, April 4, 1934) was a Italian poet, playwright and essayist . He was the author of many well-known poems in neapolitan language (many of them then to music) that are an important part of popular culture Naples. It is highly prized as a storyteller black.
Together with Ernesto Murolo, Libero Bovio and E. A. Mario was an architect of the so-called "Golden Age of Neapolitan Song".

Grandfather to Gegè Di Giacomo, percussionist and drummer in Renato Carosone's Quintet.
