Sam & The Soul Machine is a group of music funk of New Orleans , Louisiana , led by pianist Sam Henry, which gives its name to the group. The group, which has many points of contact with The Meters , was active from the late 60s to mid-next decade, in the golden age of funk to New Orleans .
