Detroit has been cited as the birthplace of Electronic Music. The template for a new style of music was developed by some individual whom started a new era for Techno & House music. One of the individuals responsible for establishing techno as a genre in its own right, it is Juan Atkins who is recognized as the originator. The new “Detroit School” express a dependence on machine-generated beats, chord and melodic synths.
